From the Rector:

In connection with the emergency measures implemented by the authorities of the State of New York and Nassau County to prevent the spread of COVID-19, our church is temporarily closed for public services.

1) This weekend, our only service will be a Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning at 9:30. The service will be live-streamed on our website: www.stseraphimschurch.org.

2) Yesterday morning, subdeacon Vladimir Feodorov, a dedicated servant of Christ’s Church, passed away in NY Presbyterian Hospital in Flushing. There will be a panikhida at Novo-Diveevo Convent on Sunday at 1 o’clock, and the funeral will be on Monday at 1 o’clock. Due to strict state-wide regulations restricting gatherings of more than 10 people, we request that everyone pray for the newly departed at home during these times. When the quarantine and related restrictions pass, we will serve a panikhida at St. Seraphims and host a memorial meal to honor his memory. May God grant His Kingdom and rest with the saints to His subdeacon Vladimir!

3) Book club meetings will continue via Zoom.
