NATIVITY GREETINGS FROM THE RECTOR

Dear in the Lord Father Paul, Father Eugene, members of the parish council and sisterhood, acolytes and singers, brothers and sisters, parishioners of Saint Seraphim Church and visitors to our parish website!

The Holy Church once again proclaims to all people the bright joy announced by the angelic choir to the humble shepherds of Bethlehem on the holy night of Nativity: “Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which will be to all people, for today in the city of David a Savior has been born, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10-11). With a kind heart and brotherly love, I greet you all with this great joy!

Nothing so comforts our hearts and lifts our spirits as the solemn words of church hymns, which the Church sings on the joyful day of the Nativity of Christ. Every year, when this divine holiday comes, our faith in the invincible and unbreakable power of Christ, the power of His sacrificial love, which sympathizes with us in trials, is renewed. By the grace of Christ the Savior, born in a humble manger, may we and all who are near us be filled with peace, may we glorify the living God who became a living Man: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”

Wishing a joyous Christmastide and a happy New Year to all of you!

With love in the Lord,

Archpriest Serafim Gan
